On behalf of MHI and the coproduction team for the Trauma and Recovery Webinar, I would like to thank you most sincerely for your contribution and delivering the Introduction to Symbollage Method. Your opening to the webinar really set the scene for the morning and the power of creativity in working through trauma in our lives struck a chord with so many people. I hope you got to see all the wonderful comments that came through the chat. There were over 1000 people who turned in for the live event and the link has been shared far and wide now as well. I really look forward to continuing our relationship with you in the future. Thank you.

AMBER WOMEN'S REFUGE

Dominika worked alongside Amber Women’s Refuge to offer Symbollage Workshop sessions to women in the local community. The aim of the group was to raise awareness of Domestic Violence and supports on offer including information on Healthy Relationships, all whilst offering the participants the opportunity to create their own Symbollage pieces. Dominika’s creativity, passion and ability to engage with people around sensitive issues was exceptional and she portrayed a strong ability to support others to explore their creative side all whilst building great relationships. Dominika was a pleasure to work with. I am thrilled that we got the opportunity to work together.

My mother and I recently attended a Symbollage workshop in Dominika’s studio. It was a fabulous experience. A calming and open atmosphere was created and it was lovely to get the chance to be creative in such a beautiful space.
Dominika is warm and welcoming. She shared her artistic knowledge with us and gave us the chance to create something personal and meaningful.
The workshop was four hours long and the time just flew by. We could have spent even longer there. I look forward to attending more of Dominika’s workshops in the future and would recommend them to people of all ages as a way to relax and take time for yourself.

I would highly recommend the Symbollage workshop. Dominika’s kind, welcoming, caring nature would instantly make you feel comfortable in her presence. It is truly a wonderful experience to create and work on such a meaningful piece of art. You can create and tell a life story, etc, by using the pictures/symbols that Dominika has created. For me it was so relaxing throughout the process and when I had completed my symbollage I felt a sense of relief, like a weight was taken off my shoulders.

I was lucky enough to be part of Dominika’s workshop at the Discovery Park in Castlecomer recently. It was a super experience. A five hour session that felt like three! Dominika skillfully guided us through the process of creating a personalised symbollage that was very open to individual interpretation. As an art teacher I was very impressed by Dominika and her approach to creativity. Her gentle encouragement supported the development of everyone’s ideas. I would highly recommend these workshops as the perfect way to reflect, relax and explore a holistic approach to creativity. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Thank you so much for a very relaxing and most enjoyable workshop. My daughter gave me a gift of the afternoon. I had no idea what I was going to do, when you gave us all the pictures to work from and looking at your amazing symbollages and the colours, it was easy to decide. Your symbollage with the swans on brought back memories of weeks spent at Galway University when my daughter was in hospital. Sadly Katie passed away in September 2011. Every day on my walk to the hospital I stopped to watch the swans they were so peaceful. Spent 6 weeks in Galway away from home, I also light candles every day, reflected in my symbollage, forget me not one of my favourite flowers. Thank you again for a wonderful afternoon and I look forward to doing another class. A great class to share with friends or family member my next class will be mother and daughter.
